The lower half of the Dashboard keeps you informed about ongoing work and recent changes across your portfolio. Three sections — Projects Overview, Activity Feed, and Smart Next Action & Recent Wins — work together to give you context on what's happening, what's been accomplished, and what to do next.
Projects Overview
The Projects Overview section displays all your active projects in one consolidated view. In LinkRocket, a "project" is a configured, ongoing monitoring task — such as tracking keyword rankings for a specific domain or running recurring site audits.
The following project types appear in this section:
Project Type | What It Tracks | Key Info Displayed |
|---|---|---|
Rank Tracking | Keyword positions over time for a domain | Number of tracked keywords, latest position changes |
Site Audit | Technical SEO health for a domain | Current health score, number of issues found |
NeuroLink | Internal linking structure and opportunities | Internal linking health score, number of suggestions |
Each project shows a quick status indicator so you can assess health at a glance without opening the project itself. Click any project card to jump directly into its full detail view.
Why This Matters
Without the Projects Overview, you'd need to open each tool separately to check on your active monitoring. This section eliminates that overhead by giving you a consolidated status check. If a Site Audit project's health score dropped, or a Rank Tracking project shows significant position changes, you'll see it here first.
Tip: If the Projects Overview section looks empty, it means you haven't set up any Rank Tracking, Site Audit, or NeuroLink projects yet. Head to the respective tools to create your first projects, and they'll automatically appear on your Dashboard.
Smart Next Action
The Smart Next Action feature uses AI to analyze your portfolio data and recommend the single most impactful thing you should work on next. Instead of guessing where to focus, you get a data-driven suggestion based on what LinkRocket knows about your websites.
Recommendations might include actions like running a backlink analysis on a site that hasn't been checked recently, addressing critical errors found in a site audit, investigating a ranking drop for a tracked keyword set, or building internal links for an orphaned page detected by NeuroLink.
The Smart Next Action updates based on your latest data, so it evolves as your portfolio changes. Think of it as a personal SEO advisor that's always looking at the full picture.
Getting the Most from Smart Next Action
The quality of the recommendation depends on the quality of your data. The more analyses you run, the more projects you create, and the more websites you track, the better Smart Next Action can identify high-impact opportunities. If you're only tracking one website with no active projects, the suggestions will be more limited.
Recent Wins
The Recent Wins section highlights positive changes and milestones across your portfolio. SEO work can feel slow — results often take weeks or months to materialize — so this section is designed to surface progress that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Recent Wins may include:
New backlinks discovered pointing to your websites
Keyword ranking improvements (moving up in search results)
Completed site audits with improved health scores
Successful backlink exchanges
Authority metric increases (Domain Rating gains)
This section serves two purposes. First, it gives you confirmation that your efforts are paying off. Second, it helps you identify what's working so you can double down on successful strategies.
Tip: If you manage SEO for clients, the Recent Wins section is a great source of material for client reports and updates. Positive changes listed here can be highlighted in your communications to demonstrate the value of your work.
Activity Feed
The Activity Feed is a chronological timeline of recent events across your entire portfolio. Unlike Recent Wins, which focuses only on positive changes, the Activity Feed captures all notable events — both good and bad.
Events that appear in the Activity Feed include:
New backlinks discovered
Backlinks lost
Ranking changes (up or down)
Site audit completions
Metric updates after fresh analyses
Alert notifications from the Needs Attention system
The feed is ordered with the most recent events at the top, giving you a running log of what's changed since your last visit.
How to Use the Activity Feed
The Activity Feed is most useful as a catch-up tool. If you haven't logged in for a few days, scrolling through the feed tells you everything that happened while you were away. It's also helpful for spotting patterns — for example, if multiple websites lost backlinks around the same date, that might indicate a broader issue worth investigating.
For daily users, a quick scan of the top few items in the feed is usually sufficient. You're looking for anything unexpected or significant — a large ranking drop, a sudden influx of new backlinks (which could be positive or could indicate a spam attack), or a completed audit that needs review.
Activity Feed vs. Needs Attention
These two sections serve different purposes. The Activity Feed is informational — it tells you what happened. The Needs Attention section is actionable — it tells you what to do about it. Some Activity Feed events will also trigger Needs Attention alerts if they meet the threshold for concern (such as a significant metric drop), but not all activity feed items require action.
Exchange Status Widget
The Exchange Status Widget provides a compact snapshot of your Backlink Exchange activity. The Backlink Exchange is LinkRocket's credit-based system where you earn credits by providing backlinks to other users and spend credits to request backlinks to your own sites.
The widget shows:
Pending requests — Exchange requests waiting for your response or waiting on others
Active exchanges — Currently in-progress link exchanges
This keeps you aware of your exchange activity without leaving the Dashboard. If you have pending requests that need action, you'll see them here. Click the widget to open the full Backlink Exchange tool.
Important: Timely responses to exchange requests help maintain your reputation score in the exchange system. If you see pending requests in the widget, address them promptly to keep your account in good standing.
